Primarily a western classical pianist, Priyal Shah received her early training in Mumbai, India, studying western classical piano with the late Shanti Seldon under the British Associated Board of the Royal School of Music system. She pursued her Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance studying under Ruby Morgan at Furman University. In 2013, Priyal graduated from New York University’s Steinhardt School of Culture and Education with a Masters in Solo Piano Performance. There she studied with Artist Faculty Member Deirdre O’Donohue. While at NYU, she was also an adjunct faculty member teaching private piano lessons and group keyboard to undergraduates. Post her studies at NYU, Priyal went on to teach at various music institutions in the New York City area, and collaborated with other musicians for performances in the city. Her most recent performance venues include the Provincetown Playhouse and Black Box Theatre in New York City. She is currently teaching Theory and Keys for the Pre-Pro Level at the True School of Music.
