Having been trained in Hindustani classical music since the tender age of 6, Medha Sahi found herself drawn to western music when she was introduced to musical theatre in the 8th grade. Medha then went to Vassar College (New York, USA) and studied jazz which she cites as a major influence in her life. While studying western jazz vocals for 3 years at Vassar, she simultaneously secured a bachelors degree in Child Psychology and French. She’s been teaching theatre and French to children and adolescents, both part time and full time, since the eleventh grade. This contributed greatly to her knowledge of voice and how to use it as an instrument.
