The True School of Music Mumbai and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam partnered in a CvA online custom program for TSM. This unique and innovative collaboration between the two music institutes will give TSM students a chance to be taught by CvA’s world- renowned faculty in a certified program. CvA online has been developing since 2013 certified and truly interactive courses delivered on a state of the art platform. Since the recent introduction of Polycom REAL TIME streaming, CvA Online is able to truly live communicate directly with students.
Attie Bauw has spent most of his professional life in recording studios all over the world, working with artists as diverse as The Nits, The Scorpions, Menace with Bootsy Collins and Maceo Parker, Hans Dulfer, Yulduz, Latoya Jackson, Noa and The Gathering. Attie learned a lot, working as an assistant-engineer and later as an engineer with world famous producers including Humberto Gatica, Roy Thomas Baker, Keith Olsen, Chris Lord Aldge, Steve Lipson and Mike Shipley, for artists such as the Simple Minds and the Stranglers. Attie is the only Dutch producer to have received Grammy nominations: ‘Producer of the Year’ and ‘Best Engineered Album; for his production of Fight. The opera movie Rigoletto, by Opera Spanga, of which Attie did the whole music and sound production in 5.1 surround recording and mixing, was one of the three nominees for de ‘Gouden Beelden 2004’, in the category Art and Culture. Muziekkrant OOR nominated Attie in December 2000 as one of the best Dutch Producers of the last forty years.
Edo Righini played and recorded with many international jazz artists, such as Dee Dee Bridgewater, Mike Mainieri, Bob Malach, Rick Margitza, Kim Thompson, Dominique di Piazza, Linley Marthe, Terri Lyne Carrington and Mitchel Forman. He toured all around Europe, performing at the most prestigious festivals, and is active as arranger, guitarist and musical leader with numerous theatre artists such as Wende Snijders, Acda en de Munnik, Lenette van Dongen, Jenny Arean en Jan Jaap van der Wal. Edo Righini taught guitar and improvisation at several conservatories, such as Conservatorium Maastricht, Fontys Hogeschool voor de Kunsten and Siena Jazz University. In 2015 he was appointed Head of Online Learning and Continuing Education at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
Hans has worked as producer and sound engineer in studios such as Wisseloord, Bolland Studeios and Bullet Sound Studios. He recorded and mixed for artists such as Prince, Live, Herman Brood, Girls Aloud and Marco Borsato. As a producer he also works for AC-productions for Philips, Menzis and Rabobank. As composer and producer he wrote the score and soundtracks for TV hits such as Goede Tijden Slechte Tijden, Mr. And Mrs. Smith, and Verdammt Wir Leben Noch, the movie about the life of Falco. As artist, he scored a world hit under the name of Capricorn with the song 20Hz.
Blanca is a conceptual artist, art educator and promotor. In 1992 she finished her formal education at the art academy ARTEZ in The Netherlands. Her body of work includes writing, painting, performances and video installations. She organizes various art projects and collaborates as a lyricist with singer/songwriters and bands. From the beginning, Blanka has been involved in developing the study programme at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam’s Pop Department. In 2009, she initiated the project DarkEnsemble, a free collaboration project open to musicians who want to explore the relationship between language and music, and who have an interest in blancing the problematic interrelatedness of electronic and acoustic sound.
Claus has worked as a percussionist in almost every style of music, accompanying artists such as Biboul Daurouche, Conexion Latina, Nueva Manteca, New Cool Collective, Zuco 103, The Metropole Orchestra, Ruth Jacott, Alain Clark, Kyteman’s Hip Hop Orchestra, Peter Beets, Wicked Jazzsounds, Giovanca, Hans Dulfer, Waylon, Kris Berry.
Jack Pisters acquired a great reputation as a guitarist, lecturer and consultant within the Dutch music industry. He is the designer and coordinator of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam Pop Department, co-artistic leader of the Amsterdam Electric Guitar Heaven Festival, headmaster of the Dutch School of Popular Music, designer of the A-MACK method, founder of DAWA Records, co-initiator of the Guitar Matrix festivals and more.
