Frederic Talaa aka Neuromotor

Neuromotor is Frederick Talaa, one of the pioneers of the Global Trance Dance scene with over 20 years of making people dance. He started his musical career early – at the age of 12, playing the piano while living in the French Antilles. At this very young age he sensed already that his entire life would be about music majorly. In 1992, after studying piano and violin at a Music Conservatory, he discovers a passion for DJ’ing which leads him to form a Hip-Hop band for which he would compose and write songs.

In 1994, with the arrival of the first waves of New Beat and Acid House, he found his preferred musical direction and started collecting all the new music arriving from Detroit, Chicago, Germany and England. Some years later he started to organize his first events for big clubs such and in 1995 he became the resident DJ at ‘Khumaras’ in Ibiza. Keeping Funk, Hip-Hop and Alternative Rock as influences, he created his own style becoming one of the Techno-Trance pioneers. It’s in 1998 that his first track ‘After effect’, was released on vinyl and cd, and became an immediate hit.

Internationally, he has performed in many countries including Japan, Australia, New Zealand, India, Nepal, North Africa, United Arab Emirates (Dubai) Russia, Scandinavia, Germany, Belgium, Spain, England, Ireland, Canada, United States, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Brazil, Peru ,Argentina & other Eastern European countries. ‘Neurodamage’ was released in 1999 and sells about 50,000 copies. (considered to be one of the top selling albums of that time in EDM) During the following 10 years he releases 3 new albums and over a hundred tracks on different compilations.

In 2001 he also initiated his own label ‘Mechanik-records’ and produced 3 albums for different artists and about a dozen compilations with other musicians. Between 2001 and 2009, he maxed out more than 100 plus releases across Music labels, globally partnering with the best in the business promoting High Energy Dance Music. While he’s touring around the world, he keeps in continual touch with all the new production techniques of the big studios. In 2012, he launched his own School of Electronic Dance Music Production called Electrologic, in France. The idea is to cater to budding Dj’s who want to master the art of making Dance Music. Venturing across all genres Electornic Dance Music, he has alter egos & alliances with world renowned artists.
